Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Perselio (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Perselio.

2. Subscription and billing

Perselio is offered as an annual subscription at $19/year. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your payment method the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. See our Refund Policy for details on refunds.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Use the Service to generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its AI outputs at scale.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Content

The literary works available in Perselio are sourced from Project Gutenberg and are in the public domain. Drafts and other content you create with Perselio belong to you. You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

5. AI features

AI-assisted features are provided on an "as is" basis. Outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on or publishing it.

6. Intellectual property

The Perselio name, branding, software, and design are owned by us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond using the Service as intended.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Perselio and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
