Privacy Policy — Perselio

This page is maintained by the Perselio team to explain what information Perselio ("we", "us") collects and how we use it. Questions? Email support@perselio.co.

Information we collect

Account information — your email address and, if you choose to provide it, a display name. Collected when you sign up or sign in with Google.
Subscription and billing information — handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan, and billing period, but never your full card number.
Usage of the app — basic logs (routes visited, errors) used to keep the service running and improve reliability.
Drafts and reading state — your in-progress drafts and reading position are stored in your browser's local storage on your device, not on our servers, unless you explicitly sign in and sync them.

How we use information

To provide and operate Perselio.
To process payments and manage your subscription.
To communicate with you about your account, changes to the service, and support requests.
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your drafts to train AI models.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of vendors to run Perselio. Each processes data only on our behalf:

Lovable Cloud — application hosting, database, and authentication.
Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
Google — optional single sign-on.
Project Gutenberg — source of the public-domain texts served in the app.
Lovable AI Gateway — routing requests to language models used for in-app AI features.

AI features

When you use AI-assisted features, the text you submit is sent to a third-party language model through the Lovable AI Gateway to generate a response. We do not retain that text beyond what is needed to deliver the response, and we do not use it to train models.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated data within 30 days, except records we're required to keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons (for example, billing history retained by Stripe).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Email support@perselio.co and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

Perselio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect.
